Closest 50/50 bet in a casino? There might be a good comp play here . . .

I'm trying to determine the closest 50/50 bet in a casino and I believe that
it is roulette, black/read (or odd/even). The place I have in mind is 0/00
but I think it might do . . .

In CA, some casinos have started to implement electronic versions of games
like craps and roulette. They've had "live" versions of the games but only
in a bastardized form of the original - craps in CA involves dice AND cards.
But the electronic versions are more "traditional" (at least on screen) but
they also have the added advantage of being able to use your club card on
them :). I played a few machines, briefly, this past weekend and I couldn't
detect a difference in racking up points whether I was using straight bets
or correlated bets like the black/red on roulette. If I'm doing black/read,
odd/even and playing all of the 3 sets (and high/low, columns, etc) I could
be racking up points in a flash, right?

What about craps? Is the pass/no pass about a 50/50 bet?

You'll rack up a lot of points, and for the most part, the casino won't care. At a house edge of 5.26%, you're essentially "buying" the points. Harrahs Atlantic City, I believe, is $40/pt on video roulette... so each point is costing you about $2. Harrahs points are redeemed at 1 RC = $0.01 in comps. So, you're spending $2 to earn $0.01 in comps by doing this.

When the games first came out, they were set to slot machine levels ($5/pt), which still left a negative game, but made it very easy to get Diamond in a Day. 3,000 points didn't take long, and would be an expected loss of $789.00 -- and the perks for Diamond well exceed that for most people. Now that it's $40/pt, that's a loss of $6,200... not quite so worth it!

Figure out what the dollar value of your points are (and don't forget to include the comps you'll get as a result), and then figure out how much it'll cost you in real money to get them. Decide if it's worth it.

You also use your club card at live craps and the other live games. Not much difference there. And some dealers or floor people might be more inclined to raise the rating after a toke or two.

I like to include the road conditions up the mountain to Barona once you have exited on
Highway 67 and Willow Road.?

At 9:30a.m. on a Thursday morning, no construction was taking place on the access road.? Although
it is only a two lane road, there are now more passing places for those vehicles going uphill. There was no longer any evidence of the burned vegetation from a massive fire a few years ago.

The recession's effect insofar as personnel seems the same as the entrance greeters and a multitude of landscape workers could be seen.

I had two (2) favorite 3x "Big Bertha" type multi-game video machines that were previously on both
sides of a large pillar near the gift shop and table game section.? They are now gone.

In that same area,? there is also an auxiliary smaller slot club service desk. I did find a circular bank of
single line games @ 25c, 50c and $1.? They had 9/6 job , 8/5 BP, and 9/6 DDB.? The deuces were 45 instead of 50 for the straight flush but all other payoffs matched the nsud.

They were in the midst of a daily swipe for a lotto type promotion but where you had to come back in person for a
drawing.? They were pushing e-mail sign-ups and if people coming to San Diego are interested, there are
various bus pick-ups schedules in places like Chula Vista, National City, Mira Mesa.? As a little benefit, the website does mention a $10 slot play and 2 for the buffet if you come in on your birthday.

The bus access give one the option of booking a hotel near their pick-up sites and not having to drive especially
at night on this narrow mountain road.? IMHO Barona still is very presentable with an upbeat , friendly
atmosphere with a few games to play that are close to even.

This is a great answer, I appreciate it. Although it does look like roulette
would be too high and I'd need to focus on the craps pass/dont

As far as I can tell, they do not make a distinction between the points for
roulette or for slots, they just view it with a single rate. This particular
casino happens to have one of the bigger music venues in my area, so that
may make the back-end of this play worthwhile in real dollars.

Bally's has a line of roulette machines which have a SINGLE ZERO. This means the EV is reduced from about 5.26% to about 2.8% (I may be wrong on this). You may want to pick 2 of these and play some type of progression while watching what numbers have come out so that you can catch a run.
