Yesterday morning, 5:30 AM I was playing the lone
9/6 JOB in working order at the Isle de Capri in
beautiful Bossier city, Louisiana when a woman started
playing the two machines next to mine. The one next to
me I noticed ws a 9/5 DDB and when she made some
comment about being cold I responded politely and
glanced at her screen, noticed she was playing two
coins. A few minutes later she had four threes for
$400 and when she tried to cash out the machine
jammed, requiring an attendant. These were old
uprights. I looked at her screen and she had held two
threes and a six!!! Stupid me, I asked her if she had
done that on purpose or made a mistake. The response
stunned me, something to the effect that she had not
been hiting any three of a kinds so went for the "two
pair" thus losing the opportunity to get the kicker
for $800 instead of $400. An hour later, she had hit
two more $400 quads while my stuffed Chihuahua cost me
$150!! or so. I had over 300 credits for awhile from
my initial Benjamin, hitting some seven or eight full
houses. I resolved NEVER to talk to another video
poker player I do not know ever again!!!
I certainly would
not recommend
that
> anyone discontinue using/practicing proper
strategy, because they
> happen to comment that a particular vp machine is
"hot" or "cold".
Therefore, I do think it
···
would add to more
> personal playing enjoyment, to lighten up just a
bit.
