Thanks for your comments. I didn't know Yosemite was so close. I prefer Reno, but when hwy 80 takes on snow, I may consider giving Chukchansi a try.

I am not sure it is worth the trip just for the vp, but the place is
very nice. They just opened up a new tower and a couple more eating
places. They have a good variety of dining options, and everything I
have had has been very good.
The main reason however to make a visit to Chuckchansi is that it is
only about 30 minutes from the south entrance to Yosemite National
Park. It was maybe one hour drive to Glacier point, which has one of
the most jaw dropping views anywhere.
