I have to disagree about the food at Cherokee. We think it is actually very good. If you get tired of the buffet, there are a couple of nice restaurants inside the hotel and casino to let you order off the menu. We have never gotten anything that wasn't good. The video poker is not full pay. We have a good time when we go. The people are overly friendly. We don't usually win a lot of money but it is the only casino in North Carolina.
