Not exactly a VP topic but I was playing $25/50
a hand late at night at the California Club and
at the end of 4 hrs asked for a breakfast comp
from Phyllis, pit person. She said I had not
played enough. BOTH dealers confirmed I was
there for 4 hours as well as a player or two but
she refused to budge. (How much is breakfast?)
She told me to go and grovel with her
supervisor, Marcy. Yeah, right.
At least if you played the POOR paying machines
at the Cal Club, there would be no question about
how much you put in using a slot card.
MSS (sister hotel) did give several comps for the
same amount of table play.
A week later Cal Club sent an online survey about
my experiences there. Related my experience and
received no reply.
Moral: Play at the Cal Club at your own risk.
Would take a lot to make me go back.
