Chase The Royal

To rephrase a question by another poster, on another group,

I'm trying to set up a Chase The Royal(0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-800)
on Frugal Video software and am at a loss. Can someone help me out?

I touched on this yesterday. I changed the payoff numbers, but when I
start playing it, it invariably crashed after a few (less than 10)
hands.

In addition to justchanging the numbers in the paytable, is there
anything else one has to do? The Help wasn't much helpful.

for what reason is this being set up? practice isn't really necessary is it?

Maybe it'll help with those tricky situations where you have to choose
between holding a Jc or Js?

I'll answer my own e-mail. Someone just told me that "Chase the Royal" is the moniker Bob's attached to his "royal or bust" tournament strategy and it isn't the IGT game A Myth is referring to.

Not guilty. I wrote about going for the royal on every hand as the
appropriate strategy for the Palms tournament, but I never suggested the
"Chase the Royal" name. Obviously I recognize that as an Action Gaming
trademark used on IGT machines and wouldn't use it to signify something
else. A Myth was the first to use it, to my knowledge.

You are absolutely right. If someone needs to practice with this
strategy, (hold the Ten, when dealt 2222T!) they need to be inducted
into the Hall of Shame.

I just wanted to let the computer play for a couple of hours, and see
the results.

Couple of weeks ago I was at Showboat (AC). I was playing on a 100-play
nickel machine. The lady next to me was playing on a similar machine, 5
hands at a penny each. She hit a Flush in spades, and atthe same time I
had a Flush in Diamonds. When I mentioned this, she calmly said, but
Spades is better!

My question remains (as to how to program the machine), but I will
here after refer to this as Hunt The Royal.

Reminds me of the Hunt the Wumpus we used to play in way back when.

... but I never suggested the "Chase the Royal" name. Obviously I

My diversion when I was shirking a term paper was a text based version
of "Star Trek". It held all the challenge as that posed by a maze to
a lab rat. Sad to say, it held my attention for hours. I've since
graduated to "Royal Trek".
