I see on Action Gaming's website that the Riviera allegedly has two of
these machines. Anyone know where in that maze they call a casino the
machines are located?
Chase The Royal
I don't have an answer to this, but I wish the casinos make it easy
for the players to search for a machine that plays a specific game. It
is all the more necessary cinsidering the way they move them around,
wlly nilly, as it appears to the non-cogno-scenti.
Why can't they have monitors sprinkled over the casino, where you
could go and search for a machine? Having people walk around in those
mazes looking for their favorite machine is certainly not how the
casinos would want their "guests" to spend their time!

They are in a bank of ( I think 5 or 6) large upright machines not to far from where you come in the front of the casino. They are in the middle of the casino. Other machines in this row are 2 or 3 progressive 3/5 play machines. This bank of machines runs North to South, where as it seems the majority of Riviera machines in the front of the casino go the opposite way. They are located before you get to the table games.

Thanks for the information. I used to play that game 4 or 5 years
ago and enjoyed it. Now, the Riv is apparently the only casino in
town that still has the machines. Purely for nostalgia, I think I
shall play them one night this week.

You may soon find this fun game in more places. The following is an excerpt "Learning about Oddball Games":
All Star Poker
"I love the concept of All Star Poker, a new Game King choice for multi-hand poker games. This really isn't a new game, but a new multi-game machine containing 10 different games, with the casino having an option to offer any 8 of them at any given time: Chase the Royal, Triple Play, Five Play, Ten Play, Super Times Pay, Spin Poker, Five Aces, Bonus Hand, Trade Up, and Double Pay. This gives the player a broad choice, including some of the new and old "specialty" favorites to which the casino might not want to dedicate a whole bank of machines. Perhaps this will keep some of these "greatest hits" alive on an increasingly crowded casino floor.

Jean,
Do you have information as to when we might see this game on the casino floor. I read about it awhile ago on the IGT website and have been looking forward to it being rolled out. I really like playing double pay and it has been taken out of most Vegas casinos.

I'm not sure where it is now - but I think you will see it all over in the coming months.
