Changing Machines

In another area, I'll switch from DDB to DDStud. Its not a question of

changing
because the randomnicity (is that a new word I just invented?) is changed
by the
physical act of moving. Just the game I'll be playing.<<

I can agree with this.

My view is that if once you get to a point where the you start thinking
about your bad luck on a machine, then you need to get up and move just to
get your focus back. (Even if you just stand up and pretend to move, I
guess.)

Plus, unlike pros who feel that it's only business and you have to play
with a speed and duration that practically puts you in the hospital, most
folks here are playing for recreation, so anything you can do to keep it "fun"
is worth doing.

Exactly. When the excitement level drops down to the equivalent of, say, Hour
Two of watching "The English Patient", it is definitely time to move on to
something else. Nothing would be gained during either the next 17 hours of "The
English Patient", or continuing to watch your only paying hands be 2 pair at
DDB, and even those few and far between. At least in P'em and DDStud, 2 pair is
a positive, rather than a neutral, outcome.
