Hey Drew. I was in Laughlin this last weekend but didn't run into

you. I noticed a few things in town too, so I guess I can just tag

along on your report.

Did you notice the new perfume smell in the River Palms? I recognized

the odor immediately as the same fragrance from MontBleu at Lake

Tahoe (same owners). I got a $10 scratch off ticket and the cashier

was shocked to see such a "big" one.

I wanted to poke my head in the Regency. In September when I was

there I suspected they were struggling. Confirmed now.... The casino

and restaurant are closed.

Yes, the Pioneer had signs everywhere. Double time suspended-All

tournaments suspended-All promotions listed in the Round Up

suspended. But they are still open, and getting out the Christmas

decorations. Also it looks like some siding salesman signed a big

contract as they are putting it everywhere on the exterior.

"Even the usual crazy loud Saturday night at Aquarius was toned

down." I was there and making as much noise as possible. They had a

pretty good band playing Saturday night at the Splash.

I stayed at the CB again, and they gave me a suite, but no dining

card this time. I had that fancy multi jet shower, but I adjusted the

spray first before getting in. (inside joke)

I cashed in my Tampa Rays baseball ticket at the Riverside, but I did

not see the big "Don". I have never spotted Elvis either.

I had terrible luck on this trip, but did witness a nice one while

watching football Sunday afternoon at the sportsbar at the EW. A guy

hit the quarter progressive royal for $1300+, and while waiting for

the payoff crew to bring his money, his wife hit another one for

$1202.

Hi everyone,

I was in Laughlin last weekend for the Aquarius Crazy 4 Poker

tournament and found the following minor changes:

The Spin Poker Deluxe machines at RP have moved from Winner's Wharf

upstairs to the area between the player's club and Subway. They

are

sandwiched by short pay 100-plays on either side. I guess they

aren't always short--I saw a guy get a W-2g for catching three

royals at 100-play dimes from 4RF.

It was taking a full $30 coin in for one point at GN on the $.05

Loose Deuces. I put on two points. I hope I can handle all the

offers they will no doubt be sending me.

The 2 $.25 10-play JoB slant tops at Aquarius are no longer between

the cashier and the sports book but are now in the center of the

casino between the front desk and the optimum bank. They were

locked up all weekend by the same couple and out of service when

they weren't there. Was that you??? Anyone??

Pioneer Double Time jackpots are also suspended. I never really

understood how they worked, but there are signs all over the

place.

I did use up my old comps by getting a comp slip. Didn't play

there. Now I'll have a reason for not getting my Round-Up.

Had my first ever Don Laughlin sighting in the Riverside Keno

lounge

area late one night.

Didn't win the tournament but it really was a lot of fun. Aquarius

does good tournaments. Even the banquet dinner was tasty.

Renovated rooms are nice, too. People were saying the buffet has

improved but I wasn't daring enough to try it.

River walk was deader than I've ever seen it. Even the usual crazy

loud Saturday night at Aquarius was toned down. I've been to

Laughlin at this time of year before and have never seen it this

quiet.

Good luck, everybody!

Drew

I'm really sorry to hear about the Regency closing yet again. True I didn't play there, but I
patronized their restaurant and when I was down there in September I had one of the best
prime rib dinners I've ever had. Plus I'd stop in for a beer and was able to pick up free wifi
and kept up with daily web surfing. Of course there's also going to be the obvious dead
spot in the area between the Regency being closed and the noncompletion of the
Riverwalk Plaza.

So, I have asthma and one of my triggers is perfume...I should avoid this casino in a

week? Thanks:)
