New drink ordering system on the casino floor. Each machine has a touch screen drinks are ordered from this and server brings them. I am told that they have 17 mins to bring them. It seems just one more step in the depersonalization of the casino. So far video poker pay tables seem
untouched. The buffet has a new manager and head chef. The food is marginally better and is now labled.

I actually used the drink ordering system and thought it was great. A few
steps on a screen and within five minutes I got the drink I asked for. No
cocktail waitress running up and down the aisles shouting if someone wants a
drink. There may be some downside but with my first experience, it worked.
Only wished they delivered a pizza as well.
I'm told, but did not notice it on my recent trip, that the same screens
will be used to process free play coupons. No more paper coupons.we will
see.

That's good news! We were very disappointed in the buffet in NO. We ate there twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. Service was only adequate and food was just so-so, some dishes obviously had 3 or 4 iterations in the serving bowl as evidenced by the 3 or 4 distinct states of dehydration.
We may be going Nov 30 / Dec 1 and will report back if we eat in the Buffet.

*your best bet is to look at the vpfree ac database, but off the top of my
head, there is a pretty large selection of full pay $ machines in taj and
bally's, and bally's also has three-play $ with 5 (?) different full-pay
games depending on where machines are located, and $2 full-pay, and
three-play .25 progressive 8/5 bp. note, however, that some of these
machines have posted that they take higher coin-in for rc's.

Could you expand a little more on where those 3-play Ballys machines are and what the fp games are on them?
Thanks!
ps I guess I was looking for something with better payback than 9/6 JOB, but it looks like that's pretty much the best AC has to offer, except for a few oddball games....?

*there are three 3-plays in the vip room (not always easy to get on), with
fp job, bp, and ac joker poker (which is about 98+%); 9/7 (i think) db; and
super aces (i don't know the paytable). and 4 others in the park place area,
which is down the stairs from the vip room and to the left. . ac has no 100%
or more games, unless by accident. and as for improving the return on job
with cashback, remember that in many cases job machines/$2 fp machines earn
at a lower rate, although you state that probably is not an issue for you. *
