I noticed that the vpFree database for Harrah's North Kansas City
has not changed since August of this year. Did Harrah's change any
of it's All American or Pick 'em machines?
Changes at Harrah's?
Yes.
Upper Level
···
-----------
A couple of months ago, the row of six "old, green"
quarter multi-game (MG) machines that were along the
wall at the back of the casino have been replaced with
new machines with a completely different (and I'm
assuming low payout) game.
The good news is that the quarter console MG machines
along the escalator (in front of the cashiers windows)
have all had AA added to them. These machines are
paying lots of Bonus Points, so I ain't complaining
about the change!
I THINK the escalator machines always had PE on them,
but I'm not sure about the pay scale.
Lower Level
-----------
Due to the remodeling on the lower level, the bar near
the entrance with the 6 quarter machines is blocked
off with temporary construction walls. All those
machines had AA and PE, and I hope they come back
because they also paid a fair number of Bonus Points.
I'll let everyone know what happens.
The two fairly new dollar MG machines with AA and PE
are still on the lower level but have been moved.
They're easy to find if you veer over to your right
after coming in the main entrance of the casino.

Does anyone know if the Gamemakers survived the bar remodel on the
first floor?
Are all the $ AA's still up on the top level and the 2 on the lower
level?
Thanks to anyone who can provide an update. I'll be heading that way
later this week.

It has been several days since last visit to Harrah's but the remodeling is still going on and several sections are still blocked off. They have moved the lower level $ AA machines, or I should say they are gone. A couple weeks ago the old green $ MG machines were dark. I just knew they were on the way out but to my surprise they were back in action on the last visit. Those machines have AA, 9/6 JoB, and Pick'Em. There are 6 large screen upright machines -- 3 in quarter and 3 in $ -- still active. They are back to back with .25 on one side and $ on the other. These machines also have AA, JoB, and Pick'Em. There are a few old AAs in 25 cent in the middle of the "Poker Zone".
Get there early and you can find a few machines to play.

Overnight (yes we were there yesterday and today) Ameristar, Kansas
City, downgraded all VP machines in the High Limit area. The $1
3-play/5-play uprights are now 9/5 for JoB, 7/5 for Bonus, and Ugly
Ducks. The $5 JoB progressives are downgraded to 8/5. I strongly
suspect this move was to bleed more from the New Year weekend visitors
but doubt seriously they will be upgraded after the holiday is over.
As of this afternoon the full pay 5-play quarter machines in the
kiosks were still intact.
As a side note, yesterday some woman hit a pregressive slot machine in
the High Limit area for $36,600. Took forever to get her money as
they went through the slot machine with a host of electronic test
equipment.
