Tonight at 4/29/08, I called the Gold Coast, and I was told that it was just for
maintenance. Since maintenance goes on all the time it makes me nervous that they
would be putting signs on the two banks of FPDW machines.
Several years ago the Gold Coast put in a some FPDW machines and took them out a few
weeks later; in fact, the day before we arrived. We had to walk across the street to the
Palms to play their progressive FPDW, and since we didn't play at the Gold Coast we had to
pay for our rooms.
Fortunately, the rooms are very reasonable at the Gold Coast, so we came out ahead of
how we would have, had we stayed at the Palms. For those who don't know, the Palms is
very tight with room comps.
My fingers are crossed, but I'm concerned that we might be forced to do the same thing
again this year.

mean the end of the paltry 100% machines (which now require $2 a point) at GC?
Or could they add on more FP games (wishful thinking)?
