CET buffet promo in Vegas

Just got this from a blog reader: “The CET Buffet promotion that was advertised to last until the end of March does no longer exist! Am I the only one that is aware of this?”

Anyone been able to dispute or verify this???

Jean, I just went to check another forum on what Dan Druff, probably the best expert on the internet today on CET Total Rewards, had to say about this. It was reported to him yesterday that the buffet promo was cancelled. He looked into it and reported today that the buffet offer "still exists 'secretly' for locals until 3/31. If you have a Nevada I.D. you can go to the TR desk and they will honor it. If you are from outside of Nevada it ended today."

It's not my cup of tea but for those that might be interested....Dan Druff, aka well known poker pro Todd Wetteles, has a forum called vegascasinotalk.com. There is a section of the forum called Total Rewards and MLife. DD has used video poker to work Total Rewards extensively for several years. It appears to me that his motivation is quite simple, Total Rewards defrays his expenses (travel, meals, lodging) for playing poker tournaments around the country. Plus, he likes to take his family on cruises.

Not only is DD very good at working TR, he is very good at explaining the hoops that TR makes you jump through and how to avoid many of them. He also has other valuable contributors in this section of the forum. So it's a pretty good site for those trying to learn how to work TR for all it's worth.

But be forewarned. Others sections of the site are troll infested. There is at least one troll that some of you will be very familiar with.

I was in the poker room at the Flamingo on Friday and was told by many people that this is the last day for the buffet promotion. Although nobody was 100% sure.

The CET offer buffet offer is available for locals only until the end of March. I claimed it both Sunday 3/6 and Monday 3/7 but you need to ask for it and show your NV ID.

clevgs, put 50 tier credits on your Total Rewards card and you get a free buffet. You have to have Nevada I.D. The choice of buffets are:

Spice Market at Planet Hollywood
Carnival at Rio
Le Village at Paris
Flavors at Harrah's
Paradise Garden at Flamingo

You have to use the buffet comp within 48 hours. You can get one free buffet per day. I'm not familiar with CET's cards but my guess would be 50 tier credits is probably $1000 in action. Maybe someone else could verify this.

I just went over and took a look. Dan Druff says its $500 in action at video poker, $250 in action on slots, to get the buffet.

Sevenstarsinsider.com in another good site for learning how to work Total Rewards.

Dan Druff only plays just enough to make it to Seven Stars status, 150,000 tier credits. He is qualifed Seven Stars until March 31, 2017. He says that he will only go after Seven Stars next year if:

1. There are still $10/Tier 99%+ games left in California or Nevada.
2. If he wants to take more Norwegian cruises.
3. He still feels like taking the annual trips
4. They haven't downgraded the core benefits significantly.

One of his favorite places to run the action is Harrah's Lake Tahoe where they currently have $1 triple play/five play 9/6 Jacks at $10/tier.

If I were playing those 9/6 jb at HLT, I'd be quitting at 150k tier as well ...
