I just got $20, buffet, and hotel any night for less than 200pts

Trump's marketing strategy has only recently changed. My partner & I both
play on the same card & USED to get a free, unrestricted room offer coupon (along
with a cash coupon & 2 buffets) by putting through 1,000 points in one night
- almost exclusively VP
We did this about every other weekend. The Trump hotel rooms have definitely
seen better days, but it's convenient (on property) and free. But my partner
is (hopefully) still in the midst of a royal streak and is getting $8 coupons
with no/restricted room offers because he is WINNING. He still runs up the same
amount of points - if not more on occasion - but is leaving a net winner. 5
weeks now and counting :-)) Anyone else think this marketing strategy is
backwards??? I would offer up whatever incentives I had to get that winner back so
I could have a shot at getting the casino's money back. We've started
wandering elsewhere, mostly for the sake of variety, and if we're going to PAY for a
room, we can do alot better than those at Trump.

I am surprised to hear that 1000 pts winning or not, is not enough to
get free anytime room. My 200 pts was a slight losing trip.

When I first started to play at trip I had very good luck, a royal
and several quad deuces. After several trips to Trump, not a huge
amount of play, but in total I'm sure it should have added up to some
comp value, I asked for a comp to get a couple Krispy Kremes and a
cup of coffee...they said I had zero comps coming because I was a net
winner to date. It seeems like all casinos take a dim view of giving
comps to people who are winning, unless they are palying huge amounts
through. My biggest play at Trump was slightly over 2000 pts, and was
a winning day, and I actually got some decent comps out of a Host, to
their steak house at the hotel.

I agree the rooms are not great, but convenient, its nice to have the
option of staying on a comp.

To say that Trump has a marketing strategy, goood or bad, is probably
too generous. I think a casino should reward you for your level of
play, and ignore whether you are winning or losing, in the end that
washes out anyways and you will get the ev of the game you play.
