Lunch at the Boiler Room-- is that the only good news to report at
this place? $30 steaks now??? Yikes... I guess we won't be seeing the
seniors lining up at 4:30 PM anymore for the sweet 16 deal. What is
going on with the Orleans Room area now? With all the closures
upstairs, I wonder if they should board up the whole 2nd floor?
I just cannot figure out their business plan. They don't seem to want
the serious gamblers anymore. The poor mail offers and terrible
gambling conditions make this obvious. I guess they are trying to
improve the food quality. ?? That won't bring many people in, nor
fill the rooms. Who is their target market now?
I have just about decided to give up my September trip to Laughlin.
Not much incentive anymore for the long drive.
Well the Boiler Room is now doing lunch. The menus are revamped
with some
interesting sounding dishes. There are $30 steaks now for dinner
too.
What a ghost town upstairs with the buffet not even opening on
Mon/Tues or
for breakfast. The Mississippi Lounge takes two days off too and
the bar opens
at 4p (noon weekends).
Snackbar is still operating.
Dealers and floor people are dressing down in colored T-shirts.
Still have
not found anything to play VP wise. Just rows and rows of shiny
new and
revamped games with little action.
