VIP promo at CB- I had a fine May mailer for CB/EW that let me book three
comped nights, but no VIP status. I saw many "VIP" badges being worn on shirts,
hats and hung from purses. I averaged alot less than 2000 points/day for
whatever period of time CB considered.
The main food deal I saw was at the Boiler Room. They had host types
stationed by the doorway early in the day. The badge got you into the continental
breakfast. I saw some of the afternoon food make it over to the bartops...mini
burgers and skewers of grilled shrimps.
It appeared this VIP promo was just for May. The drawing promo was just for
VIPs too. Though you did not have to be present to win for the Saturday night
drawing.

I surveyed a dozen or so banks of VP on the CB casino floor to see what the
countdowns were doing. Alas, most were counting down at $4 coin-in/3 points
like the good quarter games. The bartops and one bank by the poker room still
were $2/3 points. All slot banks checked were $2/3 points. So they are indeed
sneaking in a reduction in cashback.

New Sign-ups: I inquired about any new sign-up promo. I got, "we don't need
to do that at this time" from a boothling. I had two new potential sign-ups
with me this trip that went elsewhere. The boothling pointed out that a
slotcard does get you a barfet discount.

They were building a display of Pepsi and Coors by the front door on Thursday
for the debut of the Friday thru July 4th six pack promo. No other details.
