Looking at the websites for the musical groups that will be at Blues & Brews is fascinating.
Shannon Preston's schedule is out-of-date.
Micheal Burks will be firing it up tonight (3/5) in Berwyn, Illinois at Fitzgeralds. Then he goes to the East Coast and then heads to Florida. I grew up less than 20 miles from Berwyn. Alligator Records is a leading label for Blues Artists.

John Earl is based in Las Vegas and plays around town, Hogs and Heifers downtown, and on the river. Google him. He produces and promotes the Laughlin shows.
Chris Hiatt hangs out around Daytona Beach, Florida and plays 300 dates a year, doubleheaders sometimes. He does a tour across the pond, starting March 29th in Scandinavia , then ends up in Laughlin, again getting to feature SRV tunes. I first saw Chris Hiatt while sitting at the end of the O-Aces bar playing good quarter VP, in the EW when he played Kokopelli's Lounge. Sometimes there were at least ten of us paying attention about 2003. He has the most interesting schedule, please Google and interpret the Swedish for the tour dates.
I hope I make this year's event.

The Entertainer>Coming Attractions has the line-up for the 13th Annual Blues & Brews 3 day event. For those not familiar with this event they use the valet parking area out front of CB with its gentle sloping pitch. Last year they had a fancy portable bar at the bottom (complete with TVs and overhead fans).
My CB/EW mailer touts this festival as a 13th annual, I have to make note there wasn't an event in 2007 when Marnell-Sher got the keys to EW/CB on June 1st that year. The festival used to be a Fall weekend until 2006. The weather is actually a lot more pleasant on the now Easter weekend schedule.
The bands rotate throughout the day. The line-up features some of the same acts as previous years:
John Earl's Boogieman Band
Micheal Burks
Chris Hiatt and Cold Shot
and a new act Preston Shannon.
The food and drinks are not too expensive outside and they have yet to limit bringing your own. This is my favorite weekend to visit Laughlin. My streak of attending the festival started in 2004, when I won a package at a CB drawing two years in a row. But that was the One Club days under Mandalay Resort Group ownership.
