You would have saved a lot of time by jumping to your "last" reason instead of the BS about saving the planet and time wasted paying your Master Card Bill. BTW how does it take any longer to pay your credit card bill whether or not there are car rental fees included? Owning a car does not consume 20% of my income.

Traveling from PA to Nevada by air generally takes me 8-10 hours door to door. That's about one third of a 24 hour day. Door to door by Amtrak would consume three full 24 hour days each way, not to mention that unless you rent a sleeper, you are sitting upright for 72 hours. If you do rent a sleeper, you're paying more than double what airfare costs.
and lastly, the time lost to make up the added $$$$$ for the
far greater cost of using a rental car that taking CAT. By not owning a
car, I can work one day less a week than those at the same income. To me that saves time, not wastes it!

As for Amtrak from the East, it is much faster than driving as the train
keeps moving while you are sleeping. Yes a plane taking about 1 day (the real amounf of time when you consider time tot he airport, time thru
security, time to check in, time to wait for bags, and time from the airport as well as time in the air, thus yes it's 2 days faster each way, but it also depends on what is done during those 2 days whether you are at home or traveling as you can do many things while traveling on a train.

Saving the planet is not BS - It is reality - Our excessive use of th worrst destroyer of the atmosphere,the car, has caused the global temperature to rise as much as 4-5 degrees in places, leading to 40% of the Arctic Ice cover receding, loss of, and ice sheets near Antartica, pollution
and eventual desturction to come of low lying coastal areas due an increase in the ocean water level due the above melting. If one drives when transit is available, they just makew th esituation worse. This is not BS, it is reality. Look at rhe air above Vegas, were driving to be sharply reduced the haze from the auto casued pollution would go away. Tranist is out there and available, use it, and us eth etime on board to imrpove your VP skills by reading excellent VP literature available, agreat way to profit as well!
