Not being a nerd I enjoy LEAST the polemics of math posts, but read them
anyway.This is what I believe:
Bob and Dan, and sometimes Jean, engage in friendly banter , and when our
attention seems to wane, one or more of them collaborate to engage in trumped up
charges and pretend mud-slinging in order to make the rest of us snap to
attention.It works, we all salivate for the next post [well, maybe not 'all] ,
are entertained by whose computer failed to operate correctly, and in order to
feel a part of the drama, we choose sides.We are voyeurs.
I believe that the old saying is worth repeating: Them that can, do.Them
that can't, teach.
And of course the ultimate saying:[for professors]: "Publish or perish."
Aside from that there is always a kernel to squirrel away, like the
explanation and hints on how to play the Alien Aces or Space Aces, or whatever.Thanks
Bob, [really] no tongue in cheek.It is hints like that one that help us all
to decide if a game like that will be fun and/or profitable.
One last word, I believe that since VPFREE is FREE the person who
administrates it has all the power and if any of us does not like how that power is
administrated, we are FREE to leave this forum and FREE to go find another FREE
forum for our bellyaching.
BTW, I am not at all familiar with Rob Singers writings or ideas but intend
to check them out...after all it is still a FREE country and I still have
enough faculties intact to discern which ideas can be mainlined into my own
personal playing style.
