I am taking a trip to Michigan, the west coast (Hart, MI in Oceana county). So far I found a casino called The Little River Casino about a half hour away from Hart. It appears to be an Indian casino, so does anyone know how the video poker will be? Do they have real machines like in AC or Vegas, or are those video lottery terminals I hear such bad things about?
Casinos in Michigan?
This is what the vp pay sitee says:
http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/little-river
I do not know how current those are, nor do I play at $5 level. I have never seen those, but my last time there was last winter.
Also, last I knew, for 25c players the paytable did not seem that good to the best of my recollection.
If you can slide up to the Odawa Casino in Petoskey or the Turtle Creek casino in Williamsburg, you can find some much better paytables. If you are looking to play high denoms, I think Petoskey is best, for 25c, I usually go to Turtle Creek. Both have over 99% games.
Or slide over to the Soaring Eagle and there are several from 25c to $ that are over 99%
Of course at all three locations, there are no over 100% games, that I know of.

Many, many tribal casinos in Upper Midwest: MI, WI, MN. All have Class III machines ("real" video poker).

Onwe of my past partners was the third man in the slots section of the Little River Casino. At one time he told me that if I would read Casino Player Magazine, and find the best paying slots in Downtown Vegas, the Little River was generally sa 1/2 percent better paying. Ands thsy still made enough money to have $100.00 bills that they would bale up for transport to the bank.
Little River is the only casino you should play in Michigan.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I am mainly a quarter player, and will check out Little River first. About how far are those other casinos the first reply mentioned? This is my first time going to Michigan.
I do not understand your post, but I disagree with your conclusion.
To the orginal poster, those other casinos would be quite a way distant. Go to Google maps, put in Manistee MI as origin and Williamsburg, or Petoskey or Mt Pleasant as destination and you will not only get a distance but directions.
