Dick, An Amiga chip is a computer chip that can used in computer to make
things happen on at a certain time. Computer chips can be programmed to do just
about anything you want them to. As far as I know Amiga is the only chip that
can do this multitasking which can be controlled from the main frame. In
other words, someone at the mainframe computer can change the times for the big
hands to be paid out. It is my understanding that this is not supposed to be
done by casinos and the ones that have been caught with this chip in their
machines were fined. However, unless the gaming commission checks every machine
regularly, few people would realize what is going on. In Las Vegas, with the
16 or 18 people they have working in the gaming commisions, it is entirely
impossible for them to check each and every machine in all the casinos (reality
check 101... just not enought time or manpower).
Thus these things go unreported because the general public is not aware
and/or no one is notified. If you have a questionable experience on a machine and
request the suits to have the gaming commission check the machine out, they
must do so; however it is very time entensive on your part. Still, they chips
are out there
