Casino Windsor planning layoffs

Yes, there are a whole lot of reasons out there, the smoking ban is just
another of a series of events that have hurt them. Windsor's business dropped
significantly with the border crossing problems right after 9/11, and never
totally recovered. From my own standpoint, I stopped going there when the VP
inventory went from really bad to simply atrocious, coupled with an ugly food
poisoning episode with their buffet. I understand that they do have full-pay
PickEm in dollars, though.

It seems that the reasons for the lay-offs also include the U.S. exchange
rate with the high
Canadian dollar, high gas prices, ongoing construction in the casino and
hassles crossing
back into the US as well as the smoking ban.
