Uh huh. Wasn't the Tangiers the fictional location for the DeNiro movie
"Casino"?

LAS VEGAS The world-famous Tangiers Casino in Las Vegas is removing
several of their slot machines after a threatened NAACP boycott. The
multiline "Ku Klux Kash" slot machines, featuring a
progressive "Grand Wizard" jackpot, are being shut down, and will
soon be removed.
According to slot director James Sanders: "Even though these machines
were profitable, we feel that several aspects of the games, such as
the 'lynching bonus' (a feature similar to "Reel 'em In" cast for
cash) could be interpreted as racially insensitive". Further scrutiny
of controversial slot machine themes could come after the "slots for
tots" issue was presented to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Sanders
went on to say: "The theme of the slots was intended to be a parody.
We thought that the theme would appeal to our valued southern US
patrons. However, we ended up offending other groups. I want to make
sure that this never happens again". The casino sent letters of
apology and several donations to representatives of the NAACP and
other affected groups.
The machines will be replaced with "Blazing 7's", "Jackpot Jihad",
and other less-offensive slot games.
