The Silver City didn't go outof business because it was non smoking,
They had no real restaurant, no slot club, there pay backs were less than the places across the street (6/5 nockel progressive starting at $200 moving slowly vs 8/5 nickel progressive at Wesyward Ho starting at $250)

"Silver City" and one of it's claims to fame was a NON SMOKING Casino, guess
what it went out of business. If you really sit and take a good look around
on any weekend or evening in Vegas or any Casino at least 40% of people drink
and smoke, including myself. In fact I never smoke in my home or around my
kids I sneak off to the Casino to smoke and drink and pollute everyone else's
lungs and my own, oh well. If that makes me a degenerate low life so be it, I
