Casino Smoke

You hit it on the button, about 10 years ago there was a strip casino named
"Silver City" and one of it's claims to fame was a NON SMOKING Casino, guess
what it went out of business. If you really sit and take a good look around
on any weekend or evening in Vegas or any Casino at least 40% of people drink
and smoke, including myself. In fact I never smoke in my home or around my
kids I sneak off to the Casino to smoke and drink and pollute everyone else's
lungs and my own, oh well. If that makes me a degenerate low life so be it, I
loved every cig I've smoked in my life.

Do you think Bellagio would go out of business if they went non-smoking?

Seriously, this isn't really even a question any more. California and New
York went smokeless and they're still in business. Even the poker rooms in
Las Vegas are smokeless and doing better then ever in history. Nevada needs
to get out of the dark ages.

Excellent point, Richard. The diehard gamblers would continue to
frequent casinos if THERE WERE NO CASINOS AVAILABLE TO PLAY IN WHERE
THEY COULD SMOKE. I don't think there's a doubt in the world, that
within a few days of going smokeless, every casino would have all
their players back. Maybe MORE than they had before, since I
personally know people who will not visit casinos because of the
smoking issue. I'm sure that, if such legistration hopefully comes
to pass, that the poor addicted souls would gather in pitiful little
groups, outside the casinos, braving blazing hot and freezing cold
temps, so that they could puff on their weeds. After which, they
would trot right back into the casino to play their games. It
really is possible to gamble without smoking.

emulate policies adopted in California and New York.

  Wow, these poor dumb casino owners. Not a "doubt in the world" that
all the customers they drive away will come back within a few days.
Well you are ALREADY trotting into the casinos in spite of the grave
danger to your life and health. So who is the addicted diehard
gambler?

I always play in the non smoking section of the two
casinos in Laughlin that have them but those sections
are MUCH smaller (and never crowded) than the smoking sections
