Exactly right. It would have meant the same thing if she
said "think or feel". The word that would have a different meaning
is "know." Unfortunately, knowledge must be predicated on FACT and
there are no facts to support the premise.

"The concentrations of noxious gases and particulates are
tremendously diluted even from a distance of 2 to 3 feet from the
point of exhalation".

Horseshit. Using my analog odor detecting device (my nose), I can
tell you that the smell is VERY strong up to 30 or 40 feet away.

YOU can't tell one way or the other, since you are obviously a
smoker, and lost YOUR sense of smell when you took up the habit. This
is one of the arguments I constantly hear from smokers to defend

themselves. Using THEIR atrophied sense of smell, pigarettes don't
smell all that bad to them. But asking a smoker if something smells
bad is like asking a deaf person if the TV is too loud.

Have you taken a vow to completely forsake logic? Is there any
connection between my statement and your response? The statement was
that gases diffuse as you move further from the source. Your reply
was "horseshit." OK, I see your point. The rest of your paragraph
concludes that in spite of my specifically stating that I am NOT a
smoker, I am obviously a smoker. OK, at least you are consistent.

I was going to do an item by item response but it's too much like
punching a cloud. You seem unable to distinguish between annoyances
and actual threats to your health. There are NOT millions of people
who have died from exposure to second hand smoke. And you equate
smokers with slaveowners? It's even money that your next post would
include a reference to Hitler.

You have complete freedom to be mad as hell and rant a blue streak
about those things that bother you and which you hate with a passion.
You have the right to petition for changes in the law and to let
commercial establishments know about the things that bother you. You
do not have a RIGHT to prevent those people with whom you are annoyed
from behaving in whatever legal manner they choose. However boorish
they may seem.

I am done with this subject unless I change my mind.

I used to laugh when Kevin L used the term 'pigarette'. Welcome

back,

Kev....oh, wait, you're not KL.

Anyone care to set the over/under on when Rock breaks out the
term "Megatoilet"?

Just giving you grief KL....um Rock. Sorry  Glad to have you

back,

regardless of the name behind the posts.

Actually, "pigarette" is a term originated by a certain Mark R., a
long-term member of our little Vegas VP group. I just stole it, and
so did Kevin.

I think Kevin is the one who coined "megatoilet", however, and if
you'd been paying attention :), I've already used it twice.

BTW, my name is George, but you can call me Rock.

Kevin L was obnoxious a*hole, whom I clashed with on numerous
message boards. I had to stop correcting Kevin L.'s inaccuracies
because it was a waste of my time. I recalled one time Kevin L was
bragging about Boom! and his information was so off (it was not
funny) that he ended up describing another game's bonus mode. I
remember this because I was the first person to prove mathematically
and disclose the proof the special case where the player cannot lose
money in Boom!

Just now, when I close my eyes and read Rock's previous post, I get
flashback of Kevin L. What a coincidence? You would think....

No reliable studies indicate a problem with second hand smoke. Alcohol is
another story.

Good heavens, do you really BELIEVE what you have written? Or has
the nicotine affected your brain as well as your lungs?

In this day and age, anyone who doesn't believe that 2nd hand smoke
is dangerous to life and health, must live a grayish (tinged by
smoke) dreamworld.

And, BTW, I have NO intention of staying out of casinos so you can
smoke guilt-free. YES, if you are blowing 2nd second-hand smoke
on other hapless vp players, you should feel plenty guilty. And I
rather suspect you are, or you wouldn't be quite so defensive on the
subject. Anyway, I suggest that you continue to enjoy your coffin-
nails to your heart's content, just keep them out of my face!

Flashback or not, there's a world of difference between Rock's
participation and Kevin's. While "Rock" and I disagree on certain
fundamentals, I've found his contributions a pleasure. If he and
Kevin are one and the same, his newfound character on vpFREE would
suggest that he's undergone ECT and a few other life altering
experiences

The "Rock: Kevin or not?" question is moot. I, frankly, couldn't care
if this was the spirit of John Wayne Gacy as long as he's civil,
constructive and a valued contributor, which has been the case.

Harry:

"ECT"??

Electro-Cranial Therapy?
Ebonics Cultural Training?
Extra Cheese and Tomatoes?
Eating Combined with Throwing up?

Please clarify!

and BTW Jason, if you devoted a portion of your valuable time to a
crusade to correct Kevin's "inaccuracies", and are calling him "an
obnoxious a*hole" now, I am just surmising--just going waaaaay out a
limb here---just SUPPOSING---that YOUR half of the discourse between
the two of you was not ENTIRELY FREE of insults, sarcasm, innuendo,
name-calling, etc.

In fact, someone who would refer to another in that fashion, I've
found, is frequently a little bit of an a*hole himself. Casting the
first stone often leaves one exposed to return fire.

So Kevin: Why are you trying to hide behind "rockofjello"? Were you
so ashamed of yourself in your prior life?

The fact was, as you probably remember, you were just a nasty person
from the getco and wanted people to put up with your bad-boy
behavior. If you wanted to come across as an a*hole, that's your
right. All I wanted to do was to make sure people on the vp websites
don't get misled by some guy who read one or two magazine articles
and is now an instant expert.

Kevin, as I said before: Welcome to [name of website], now get lost!
I wonder how long before you go back to your old ways. You don't
change and it's happened many times before.

Kevin, you are not fooling anyone except yourself (as usual).

So Kevin: Why are you trying to hide behind "rockofjello"? Were you

Kevin isn't here. The name is "George."

The fact was, as you probably remember, you were just a nasty

person from the getco

As big as you are on correcting inaccuracies, you should know that
the phrase is actually "from the get-go". "Getco" might be the name
of a shopping website, or a misspelling of that company with the
cute green amphibian commercials.

and wanted people to put up with your bad-boy

behavior. If you wanted to come across as an a*hole, that's your
right.

As it is yours---neither Kevin nor I would dream of denying you that
(for you) fundamental right.

All I wanted to do was to make sure people on the vp websites

don't get misled by some guy who read one or two magazine articles
and is now an instant expert.

I'm curious--why? Were you (are you) the self-appointed savior of
good VP information? I've taken the liberty of examining some of the
posts from a couple of the boards in question. In my humble opinion,
both of you were rude and sarcastic to each other. Also in my humble
opinion, you struck the first blow several times, particularly when
Kevin's opinions were controversial. It is apparent that you have a
strong view regarding the "truth" of your own opinions. It is also
true that you don't like being disagreed with. In my experience this
hypersensitivity is often due to the "real life" of the person in
question being laced with feelings of powerlessness and inadequacy,
such as being a henpecked husband, or working in a dead-end Dilbert-
style job. To the extent that this website and others give you
release, I think that's a healthy thing, as the lack of such release
has often led to incidents in post offices, university bell towers,
and high schools.

And for what it's worth, since I know Kevin, and you don't, I also
know that he knows more about VP, and about gambling in general,
than I--or you-- EVER will. Even those people who hate his guts--
like Skip Hughes--would acknowledge the basic truth of this.

Kevin, as I said before: Welcome to [name of website], now get

lost! I wonder how long before you go back to your old ways. You
don't change and it's happened many times before. Kevin, you are not
fooling anyone except yourself (as usual).

Not that I care whether or not you believe me, but Kevin and I are
two distinct, separate people. Go on believing what you wish.
However, if you wish to put your money where your mouth is, I will
offer you incontrovertible proof of this---for $100. If I CAN'T
prove it, you get the $100.

And BTW, if I WAS Kevin, i'm sure I'd be replying to all your
accusations in a far less civil manner, and I believe that in this
case, such lack of civility would be more than justified. Don't tell
me, Kevin, or anyone else what to do or where to go. You don't
control this board, you don't and didn't control any of the others
you mentioned (although I have the feeling that that was your
ambition), and your standing here is limited to that of being a
member ONLY.

By the way, have you contributed any useful information to this
board lately, other than this continued attack on a person who isn't
even here any longer? Good Lord, what a h***-on you must have for
this guy!

I don't want to answer for Harry, but how about:

            Exacerbating crucial theories?
            Exorcising cruel tailspins?
            Exercising classic tangibles?
            or, my personal favorite:
            Exhorting cranky theoreticals?

Rock, I really enjoy your sense of humor!

Hey, there's what's legal and what's polite.
I have the legal right to sit next to you in a casino and fart or belch all night. But its rude and I dont do it. It may be legal to smoke, but if it bother's someone near you, you shouldn't do it.
My feeling's arent as strong as those of some peopel here, but I think smoke stinks. I don't like the way my clothe's smell when I come back from a casino trip. But I know as long as its allowed, I have to put up with it if I want to gamble.
