am no expert, but there is some I have played some at
MGM etc. Let me let you in in on the best kept parking
secret on the strip!!! Those of you that subsribe to
LVA probably know what I am about to tell you. Right
across the street from the escalator that goes to the
Mirage on the Sourth side and takes you past the White
Tiger exhibit there is a driveway between Harrah's and
Casino Royale. It leads to the parking lot and garage
for Casino Royale. A thirty second walk into Casino
Royale which has the best coupons for first time out
of state visitors in all of Vegas, ev of some $140!!
And the Mirage is right across the street! Last trip I
ate three comped meals at the new Outback Steak house
and looked out at the volcano.
Joe is right except for one correction: "Right
across the street from the escalator " -- I'm sure he meant moving sidewalk
instead of escalator. If you're just visiting Mirage, this is one of the
parking options. Another is parking at Harrahs but it's a longer walk. If
you're staying, park in Mirage garage or use the TI garage/tram trick as
mentioned earlier.
Caution on parking at Casino Royale during weekends/busy times -- they often
run out of spaces & the spaces next to the hotel & in the parking garage are
for guests only & you need to display a guest pass. In the garage only the
main floor & one floor down are for guests. Floors 2 & higher are leased for
Venetian employees and the lower floors are for CR employees.
CR frowns on parking in their lot & going elsewhere & that's why they have a
security guard posted at the NE corner of their bldg on the Venetian side as
many Venetian customers have been warned. It's a problem that is of little
consequence to me except for one time. I once noticed a Ferrari with
out-of-state plates that pulled in to one of the regular spaces then took the
time to reposition itself so that it was taking up 2 spaces. A well-dressed
couple got out who I thought were somehow connected with the casino. They
rounded the corner to the Venetian. I was stunned by the blatant selfishness &
went up to the security guard & told him what I saw & his boss came out &
asked for a description. We then proceeded to Denny's in the hopes of finding
them there but no luck. Realistically, I doubt if the Ferrari was towed but I
hope security was waiting for them. Yeah there's no % in what I did but I
hope most of you would have done something similar.
