Hi to all, it has been awhile since I posted but here goes;
I stayed at CR in March of this year and to my delight the rooms were being renovated! I always enjoy my stays at CR due to location, refrig, cleanliness, basically a private pool that is deep, but I always was sad because the furniture sucked and decor was early 90's Travelodge! This can be depressing after checking out of Wynn and then into CR but to tell the truth I always had more fun at CR than Wynn or other 4-5 star places, I never refuse a comp unless I don't have the time etc.....but anyway, they have put in the most comfortable beds and the staff said they were getting flat screen tv's, each room had new very nice modern carpeting and louver blind windows. They were still in transition when I was there but I thank that once done they may get three stars instead of two stars in AAA travelbook rating guides. I also actually won at the monthly promo $50 free play machine bank with a game of CAVEMAN KENO behind the giant wheel of fortune sit
down machine. I won $500 and played the next three days on that cash at Harrahs and CR after a weekend comp at RIO, which is a gambling wasteland......
Also, an observance off subject, I went to the River Run 04-24 thru 04-28-08 in Laughlin on a comp at Harrahs, had fun riding my Harley and gambling and all that but the shock of seeing major hotels during the busiest week in Laughlin at only 70% occupancy was startling, casino hostess at Harrahs says business in Laughlin way down........
Happy Gambling,
Liz

I, too, like to play at Casino Royale. I've been staying at Harrahs

rooms at CR?...thanks. ...carole

REPLY: I describe them as very nice "motel" rooms. Fine for all
except those who need to bask in luxury.
Two notable positives: (1) in-room refrigerators for chilling beverages
and the second half of subway foot-long sandwiches, and (2) it's never
more than 100 steps from your room to the Strip or, in the other
direction, from your room to your parked car.
One notable negative: The TV channel selection is very limited. E.g.,
CNN Headline News is the only news channel. That was OK for tourists
back when CNN-HN really was a news channel; not OK now that it's 24
hours of Nancy Grace and Glen Beck. I intend to write them a letter
suggesting that they switch to the real CNN.
