Casino Rama - Problem Solved

Today, I had a long conversation with Tim Foster, Slot Operations
Manager at Casino Rama. He explained what has been happening, and what
has been done to fix it. I'll try to summarize what he told me without
getting too wordy (a bad habit of mine that my wife often reminds me
of).

The card reading part of the system was set up so that, at ten minute
intervals, the amount of play was read, and added to the player's
overall point total. On multi-denominational machines at Rama, this
system is penny-based. This, of itself, would not be a problem. The
problem stems from the fact that the programme is set to reject amounts
of play beyond a certain level. This level is capable of being
exceeded by multi-line play at higher denominations.

Only the amount of points allowed by the programme are automatically
credited.

They have now installed a programme that reads every two minutes,
rather than ten. They did this yesterday.

According to him, there were no rejected amounts after the changeover.

He advised, too, that all rejections are reviewed by their accounting
department, and appropriate adjustments made to the player's point
total. They added 548 points to my account when they reviewed my play
of Tuesday.

Unfortunately, these adjustments seem to take place after the bonus
cash calculation is done, so the amount of bonus cash suffers.

The machines have been moved slightly. They are now a little closer to
the entrance to the poker room. Most of the 25c Triple Action Poker
machines are now gone.

He told me that there had been a dealt Royal on the 10 play yesterday.
The player was nickels - one per line.

p.s. I'm still going to keep a close watch on my points the next time
I'm there.

Nice to hear that they handled it in a good way. I probably didn't have a problem because I was
playing quarter 5 play.

Regards

A.P.
