Bad news on my favorite (ok - only) play at Rama.

The $1 Game Kings were downgraded sometime between Labor Day and last
weekend. The 9-7 DB, which used to pay 800 for the RF on any number
of coins bet, now requires a maxcoin ($20) bet to get the full royal
odds:

1-4 coins pays 250 98.042%
5-9 " " 300
10-14 " " 350
15-19 " " 400
20 " " 800 99.106%

Same thing for the other games (Bonus, Bonus Deluxe, DW, JB - the JB
used to pay 500 only).

They made these machines TITO at the same time.

Ironic, isn't it - the casino puts in TITO to lower its costs and
increase its efficiency - they can theoretically afford BETTER pay
tables now.

I went to the VIP desk and moaned - they sent out a host (Mike), who
said he'd pass on my concerns to the slot manager.

I told them they would lose about $20K/month of my action, and I
meant it. The only reason I've been there lately is to play this
game. At 99.1% + .33% cb + .50% bb (see below), + comps, it barely
justified the time and gas money to drive (1.5 hours each way for
me).

If you're a regular at Rama, please join me in voicing your
unhappiness - perhaps they'll listen if they get enough heat. If not,
I'll stay with the fullpay Pickem at Woodbine.

BOUNCEBACK COUPONS

I think I've figured out their system. If I earn 200 points in a
visit ($3K coinin) they mail me, the very next day, a bounceback
coupon worth 0.5% of my total action. This coupon, redeemable for
cash, is good for 21 days from the original visit. Can anyone confirm
these figures?

Brian: There is still one other good option at Rama, the 9/6 jb triple play machines.
Re your bounce back numbers, I have been keeping track over the last few months and have the following results.....

$6060 = 404 points = $31 bounce back = .511 % .
$7515 = 501 points = $34 bounce back = .452 % .
$22305 (spread out over 2 days = 1487 points = $94 bounce back = .421 % . split over 2 days was 50/50 - 2 cheques were received $50 & $44
$12210 = 814 points = $54 bounce back = .442 % .
$22320 (spread out over 2 days = 1488 points = $106 bounce back = .474 % . split over 2 days was 75/25 - 2 cheques were received $78 & $28
$12060 = 804 points = $58 bounce back = .480 % .
$11580 = 772 points = $51 bounce back = .440 % .
$16020 = 1068 points = $69 bounce back = .430 % .

I was going to publish these numbers when I had come to a conclusion. The only conclusion I have is that if you play you get bounce back that exceeds .40 % .

Here are my BB numbers (best estimate):

Aug 7 $3,700 > $17 BB = 0.46%
Aug 18 $2,685 > 0 BB = 0.00% (I think you need $3k min).
Aug 29 $8,600 > $41 BB = 0.48%
Sep 5 $8,750 > $42 BB = 0.48%
Sep 11-12 $3,135 > ?? BB = ??? If coming, should arrive tomorrow.

Last trip I arrived at 23:00 hours and split the play over midnite.
This should tell us if the estimated $3k is a daily minimum, or if
it's considered a "trip" minimum.

Since they sent you 2 coupons for your 2-day trip, I'm guessing it's
a daily mimimum. I'll know after tomorrow's mail arrives. If no
coupon, that'll tell me (1) I should have waited an hour, and (2)
their slot club day changes at midnight.

I think their day ends around 3 or 4 in the morning. My last trip went past midnight but not past 4 A.M. and I received 1 cheque only.

Yesterday, an attendant at the VIP Services desk told me that
their "day" goes to around 5:00 a.m.
