Casino Player Tracking Systems
I know this is a VP group but if any members here are blackjack
players, do not play Mind Play machines because:
If you are a counter, cover that will through off pit types does not
work against a computer.
The machine counts the cards and has the ability to tell the dealer
to shuffle. This is supposed to warn the dealer in a pitch game
that there may not be enough cards to complete an additional round,
but the ability is there to tell the house that the remaining cards
are advantagous to the players, causing an early shuffle. The
result even a non counter, who does not know when he has an
advantage, will only be playing at a disadvantage. There have been
many instances of reported preferential shuffles on various
blackjack boards.
If Mind Play is used in the above way, it then becomes a device
which is being used to count cards and change the odds of the game.
If a player uses a similar device, he is arrested!!!
It will, as they say, be more accurate in giving comps to those who
do not know how to play the comp game.
One more point: If you are a floor person, beware. If Mind Play
does this great job of tracking bets and catching counters, does the
casino really need the same number of floor types? Time to start
looking for a new job.
