This comment is out of context here. I made a statement and a correction on another board regarding why there were no VLTs in New Jersey. Originally, I said there were no VLTs because there was no lottery--I corrected and posted this:

You're absolutely right, sorry about my mistake. Still, there are no VLTs in New >Jersey--the state constitution limits casinos to Atlantic City (1976). (They could have >a referendum and allow racinos elsewhere--racinos and non-casino businesses are >the only venues with VLTs.)

I never published this in either a magazine or column as "Mr Bates" infers. (The topic was: Casino Player Magazine; Feature Article; Errors; Corrections.)
"MHS" was the "poster" on the other group--"William Bates" and "MHS" are of like mind.

Linda, Thanks for the explanation. I found this all very confusing and irrelevant. Now, the only confusing part is why anyone would be so personally nasty towards you.

After all, you've written a terriffic book, great strategy cards and contribute a lot to the "community," whereas the poster has contributed... ??? um, I'm not sure... I can't remember anything positive that he's contributed...

  So, why the nastiness?

It's a well known fact that people make mistakes. It's also a well known fact that honorable people admit their errors and do what they can to correct them.

People's actions speak volumes about them, both positively and negatively. I know I sure appreciate your having class. The way you've handled this has made you go up a few notches in my book!

Really? In what way, I would have to ask. I did not make any comments whatsoever other than post the relevant legal citation. If someone does not wish her errors to be corrected, she should either say so or not post publicly.
