Casino Montelago to close in March
Sorry to hear that, it was a really nice place and I enjoyed playing there in years past. Of course, once the video poker went to crap,I didn't waste my time. But I was still kind of rooting for them to make a comeback. To me, I always had the feeling that they didn't really have a clue. I bet if Cannery took them over, I would bet they could make a good go of it, even given the far away location. Or even Boyd, they could probably do it. That's just my feeling about it, that they just didn't get it. No clue. If someone has a different opinion and thinks I am wrong about that, I would like to hear it.
Hey all you Casino Montelago fans, do you remember the pick'em machines?! Those were good times. I did like that place. Oh well.

I remember the Pickem just didn't play them. They actually had quite few full pay machines at one time. I liked the atmosphere and gave them quite a bit of play. Ill miss the place. Your right about not having a clue. Straight from the mouth of the manager they depended on the play of a few high rollers to keep them going. The giveaways attracted mostly nickel players which didn't help them much.
