Subject: Casino Monte LagoVisited Casino Monte Lago at Lake Las Vegas Saturday morning. The casino
and
hotel fit in with the surrounding area, not glitzy, just nice. If you
haven't
been to Lake Las Vegas it is worth the short drive out Boulder Highway
through Henderson to Lake Mead Drive. The casino is relatively small, but is chocked full of full pay VP, nicely
arranged, comfortable. I saw full pay deuces, 10/7 DB, 10/6 DDB, 9/6 JOB,
9/6/4 JOB w/sequential royal. It looked as though the multi-play games wereless than full pay. These are just some of the games I noticed, there are a
lot more. The place was not very crowded, we were there at around 10:30 AM.
I believe their cash back is about .25%. From the looks of the place, I
would
think a room comp might be a tough call. I wish it was only a ten minute
drive from Summerlin.
Room comp would probably be impossible right now as the Ritz-Carlton is
independent of the casino. Food comps are also tough because they only have
one restaurant open & all properties outside of the casino are independent
properties. However, they do plan to open up a steakhouse upstairs soon.
They also have FPJW but these may be gone soon as we overhead an IGT tech
talk as if that were an oversight.
In any case, it's an elegant property in a serene setting & I'll be looking
for excuses to return.
