Casino Monte Lago

Visited Casino Monte Lago at Lake Las Vegas Saturday morning. The casino and
hotel fit in with the surrounding area, not glitzy, just nice. If you haven't
been to Lake Las Vegas it is worth the short drive out Boulder Highway
through Henderson to Lake Mead Drive.

The casino is relatively small, but is chocked full of full pay VP, nicely
arranged, comfortable. I saw full pay deuces, 10/7 DB, 10/6 DDB, 9/6 JOB,
9/6/4 JOB w/sequential royal. It looked as though the multi-play games were
less than full pay. These are just some of the games I noticed, there are a
lot more. The place was not very crowded, we were there at around 10:30 AM.

I believe their cash back is about .25%. From the looks of the place, I would
think a room comp might be a tough call. I wish it was only a ten minute
drive from Summerlin.

The .25% is right, but Monte Lago does not have cash back. You get $20 in 'free play' for every 4000 points. $2 thru in any denomination nets a point. Geez--what's happening to me.....

Jean: Re: Bounce Back cash--I'm not certain locals get more than visitors. That would be an interesting comparison.

This might be a wash actually although this is hard to compare because marketing is such a fluid thing, many casinos changing their marketing program every month or oftener!!! I know some visitors getting VERY LARGE Free Play vouchers, shopping sprees, etc. in the thousands of dollars. As an example, our only regular out-of-town play, we play fairly heavily at the Reno Hilton and we each get $500 Free Play (periodically but irregularly as seems to be the case in many casinos) as well top-level comps and airfare. Don't anyone ask me what the requirements are to get this - I just don't know. We play several hours a day on the 5-play $1 machines and seem to "over-qualify."
