Casino Monitor Program

A big advantage of implementing the Casino Monitor
Program is that we will no longer be relying on a
single person (and worrying about having to replace
that person) to update the whole DataBase (or major
portions of it). This decentralization should provide
greater expected longevity to the DataBase, as well
as better information.

Also, the DataBase format and reporting guidelines
are firmly established already, and the once a year
personal visitation minimum requirement for a Casino
Monitor shouldn't translate to once a year updating. See
the Casino Monitor web page for details.

I remain very optimistic that we can get a couple of
hundred Casino Monitor volunteers from among 6000
plus members and that the DataBase process and product
will benefit from the decentralization.

well how about setting up a standard form to report casino
inventory changes and require the format be used and
e-mailed...if the changes for lv could be handled in a few
hours a week i would probably be willing to take over the
task...individual monitors on only some casinos and possibly
only once a year will leave the database a whole lot less
usefull imo...

As a beginning casino monitor, I wanted to point out that the
procedures are not too difficult. The only challenge is to plod
through all of the messages and find anything that applies to my
casino. Not a bad problem for my Colorado casinos, but could be a
challenge for a LV monitor.

If there were some way to make sure any reports were routed to the
correct monitor, I am sure that would help, but that might be almost
as much work as the original monitoring. Any suggestions?

That already is not an issue. Anyone clicking on the monitor link
for the casino can e-mail the monitor directly. Have received a few
that way for ST.
