Casino mailings for locals

Do LV casinos mail out the offers for BB$, etc., just to locals? I am
wondering, as I may be spending a lot of time in LV in the next few
months (probably at least until the end of the year) on business. I
will probably be there 3-4 days a week, 3-4 weeks each month.

Will regular action qualify me, even tho I have an out-of-state
address registered with the various players clubs?

Would it be worthwhile to get a local mailbox, just to have a local
address for those casinos?

Thanks
Al

There is quite a bit of local $$ mail (compared to visitor rooms/shows
mail). It would more than pay for itself to get a local PO
box...depending on your level of play. Some casinos (Fiesta,
Stations, Palms for example, have a three month rolling average.
Coasts are a month off (play in March get mail in May). So, it will
take a few months to really get things coming into your box.

When we became locals the only property that gave us a hard time about
chaning our address to a local one without a Nevada driver's license
was the Las Vegas Hilton, but they don't do bounce $$ mail
anyway...although locals do get 25% discounts on shows & food, which
does stretch your comp dollars.

Since we bought a condo in Las Vegas about 2 years ago and still maintain a
residence in Oregon, we have a choice of which address to use for our
mailings. We use our LV address for the Palms, Station properties, Coast
properties, Golden Nugget, Tuscany, and probably others that I can't think
of right now. We use our Oregon address for MGM-Mirage properties, PPE
properties, and Boyd properties as there does not seem to be much advantage
to being a local at those but I may be wrong. We still like to have the
option of staying at a nice hotel for a night or 2, especially if they have
a nice pool and offer free food. The disadvantage of having all casino mail
sent to our LV address is that we have to decide whether to have our mail
forwarded to Oregon or leave it until we get to LV. The forwarding process
can take up to 2 weeks. Sometimes our LV mailbox gets too full (mostly
those pesky newspaper flyer/ads) and the mailman will leave a note saying
that our mail is being held at the Post Office. We get to Las Vegas about
once a month and usually stay for 4-5 days. It can be very frustrating to
miss out on some of the BB cash because the dates are restricted. It sounds
like you would be there often enough to make it worthwhile having a Las
Vegas address. I had no problem changing addresses at the properties
mentioned but I always took our cable bill along with me in case they asked
for proof.
