This is incorrect.
Hosts are paid a salary, which is the biggest part of their compensation.
They get gifts and tips (when allowed, or surreptitiously) from customers.
They sometimes receive bonuses based upon the aggregate theo of all players
coded to them, or, more rarely, based upon the actual loss of those (or of
selected) players.
This applies only to hosts which are employed full time by one casino. It
does not apply to "free lance," or independent hosts, who are compensated
differently.
