Boyd Gaming has announced it will raze the Stardust sometime in 2007 and
build a huge new project which will include condos, casino, hotel, etc. to be
called Project Echelon. Hard to believe they would can the well-known Stardust
name, but apparently from preliminary info that will be the case.
The Boardwalk casino has now closed (not much notice that that was going to
happen in advance of actual date). It will be razed for that big MGM City
Project.
I'm starting to hear tourists bemoaning the loss of all the good, cheap
hotel rooms and good food deals etc. that made Vegas great.
