Cashing of MS points

I have heard that people with large point balances (high rollers and
tribe members) have bought gold coins at OdySea at MS with points
and then sold them back at a lower price. Does anyone have
experience with this and after considering transaction differentials
how much cash is realizeable per point? I understand from a
conversation several years ago at Brookstones that MS reimbureses
the stores .90c per point.

Also is there any way to realize cash for Foxwoods points or to
recieve reasonable value (other than food or rooms on premises)?

David

That's an interesting angle that I had not heard of before. I would not be
surprised if someone has figured out a way to get cash for their points but
I think most people are stuck using their points for goods.

The outrageous prices they charge for their electronic goods as well at the
fees they charge at for their travel services, and the fact that people use
their points for these, indicate that lots of people have lots of points and
are tying to figure out how to get rid of them all.

I, for one, will be happy to use up my points at restaurants and gas, even
at an inflated price....I gotta eat and I gotta drive. Also the occasionally
purchase at Brookstone whose prices are the same at MS as in other stores.

Good luck with your search to cash in.

I heard a few months ago that the jeweler at MS, Lux, Bond and Green,
put an annual limit of 4 Rolex's per person with MS points.
Apparently, the watches were being resold in the area at below retail
prices hurting Rolex dealerships. Maybe this is an urban legend.

I also "heard" awhile back that MS would redeem 50,000 points for
50 cents per point. Also, no way to verify this.

Any other stories out there?

I was told, perhaps incorrectly, that neither MS or Foxwoods could give
cashback. That, in fact, is the reason that they offer comp points. Who
knows?

In fact, I was wondering if anyone knows of any Indian casino that offers
cashback? Perhaps in California?

My parents live in Mn, and Jackpot Junction Indian Casino offers
cashback. There is no playable video poker there--the state law says
nothing over 98%? (something like that). The best JOB there is 6/5.
They do have great blackjack.

I skimmed through the vpFREE Western USA DataBase
and found several Indian casinos that have cashback.
