Cashing in Bounceback Cash without play

So I am to take it that Bounce back cash is like a check or coupon
that says "here is $N come by and get it. Please feel free to
gamble it and some more if you like."

I call this "free money" be cause in essence that is what it is.

I also know that Money that must be cycled through a machine to gain
access is likely to be worth (in a long term financial sense) more
but its access is limited by the need to cycle it through a machine
first I call this "free play"

personally I like free money better becuase it is not immediatly
subjected to the winds of variance. although for the +EV gambler
free play is worth a tiny bit more.

Here, in essence the house is saying "heres N free plays at our
games." +EV gambler expects to grind up a tiny bit of profit in the
long term process of gaining that principal number through play.

am I wrong in any of these assumptions?

Yep, basically two ways casinos try to get you back..."bounceback" and
"freeplay". Both have redemption dates, which sometimes are severely limited in
length (a day, mid-week, half a month). Bounceback vouchers usually require
going directly to the main cage or some joints allow floor people to convert to
cash, with ID of course.

Freeplay, usually you have to start with the slotclub to get the $$ installed
into your account. Sometimes joints automatically put it into your account,
which is the most consumer friendly. A PIN number then is used to access the
freeplay at the machine. Some systems (Acres) require priming the pump with
at least one hand play's worth of cash.

Are some casinos issuing bar coded vouchers to use directly into a bill
acceptor? I have not seen any yet.

Freeplay definitely creates a "trip" in the terms of your "daily averages".
The main question is if the act of cashing bouncebacks also trigger a "trip".

I have been using the acronym LTBB (Long Term Bounceback) for vouchers that
do not expire for a year. The southern Nevada HET casinos send out LTBB based
by the month/casino with a threshold of 4500 Reward Credits earned worth
.07-.1% of coin-in.

Also, I have had HET "Cash for Gas" offers that included a mailer voucher. I
had to validate the coupon at hotel registration (check-in required) before
moving to the main cage for the cash.

Usually, but not always, especially if the slot club software allows you to pull your card after you download the free play but before you play it through once.
