I've done this with tickets that added up to over $2,000 before at
Silverton and Golden Nugget and the kiosk rejected the ticket
resulting in a necessary trip to the Cashier. At both casinos
"approval" by a supervisor was required before they would cash the
ticket. They also asked for my players card and ID at Golden Nugget.
What should've been an easy transaction turned out to be a pain in the
butt. I now make sure that if I put multiple tickets in a machine to
get one it doesn't go over $1,200.
To avoid this put ALL your tickets into TITO machine, cash out and
just give
ONE ticket to the casher

Subject: [vpFREE] Cashier Computer Error - One more thing to watch
out for
Recently I was cashing out two medium sized tickets at the cage in a
major casino - they added up to just under $1200. I watched the clerk
scan the tickets with the laser thingy, and when she counted out the
money she was $13 short. (I had already added up the amounts in my
head before turning in the tickets.) I asked her to double check the
total, so she added the two amounts by hand, and came up with the
correct amount, which she said was different than what the computer
calculated. Based on her body language and reaction, I really don't
think there was any attempt on her part to cheat me - I think it was a
legitimate computer addition error. I also got the impression that it
was not the first time this had happened to her at her station. When
cashing in chips I make it a point to know exactly what I should be
getting before I turn the chips into the cage. I guess the same goes
for cashout tickets.
