Cashback - sort of - for HiRollers at Palms (free play actually)

I just received a letter from the Palms offering Free Play for points earned
on all machines in the High Limit Slot Area, including Video Poker. 400
points on Reel machines = $1 in Free Play; 800 points on Video Poker = $1 in
Free play. Minimum of $100 for redemption (40,000 points for slots and
80,000 for video ppoker). Maximum of $5000 redeemeed per day. Changes begin
on Friday Nov. 22.

There is a special Open House from 6pm Friday to 6pm Sunday. As a special
bonus to high limit players, $50 free play will be on your account from
Friday 11:59pm to Sunday Nov. 24.

For stopping at HiLimit area you are entered in a drawing for $2,500 in
prizes on Sunday 24 at 6pm. Winners have 24 hrs to claim prizes.

Free play can be used on IGT machines.

Now a few questions - can anyone get the $50 in free play or just people who
go the letter?

Do you still get points for comps or Free Play only? If your points go away,
will they write discretionary comps?

I am assuming that all machines in the HiRoller area are included, which do
include some $1 VP machines - I think they may have NSU deuces and 9/7 DB,
also 9/6 JB??

I wonder if my talk with George Maloof might have influenced this change - I
was complaining that I was getting more cashback when I played the $5 reel
machines from places like Ballys, Orleans, etc. (Yep - sometimes I am bad
and play reel slots instead of video poker. I also have played 9/7 DB too.)
I got a whole lot more cashback from Bally's Paris for $5 play than I got at
Palms. ???

It is good that apparently Mr. Maloof is trying to accomodate players. If
the Free Play is IN ADDITION to comps at Palms, this will be a good thing. If
not, then $5 reel and 9/6 JB players are still better off playing places like
Caesars, Ballys, and Bellagio.
