Hi Gang:
To help answer some of the questions about Harrah's recent cashback policy
change, here's what happened to us this past weekend at Harrah's AC.
On arrival on Friday we saw in the kiosk that we had no cashback from our
trip the previous weekend. We inquired at the Total Rewards Center and were
told that as of April 6 all cashback would be mailed to the cardholder in
the form of freeplay coupons. We were told it would take about two weeks for
the coupons to arrive. When I asked the key question, "Would the rate of
cashback be lowered?" I was told, "No, the rate would still be the same."
This change has been rumored for months so we were not taken by surprise
by it. Our host told us awhile back that the cashback at Harrah's was going
to change soon to freeplay, "like the Borgata."
There also were some signs around the property saying that the change only
affects diamond and Seven Star players. It went on to say that this change
would be a good thing because players now wouldn't have to wait in long
lines at the kiosk to get their cashback. What BS!
Of course, Harrah's loves to tell its customers one thing then do another
so we're skeptical ... but hopeful. If the rate of cashback doesn't change
it's not that drastic a change for players like us who are in town often
and play through their cashback anyway. We'll see.
Hope this helps clarify matters.
Regards,
CoachVee & Hedy
PS: Hedy hit aces with a kicker for $2G twice this weekend and we hit aces
for $800 three other times to keep our recent winning streak intact.
