I recently found out that the cashback calculation in Frugal VP was a simple
calculation that would simply add it to any particuler game's EV. I think this
would be extremely useful to have the calculation automaticly added in your
session statictics. As, everyone knows all calculations of EV include your fair
share of Royal Flushes. You can run million hand simulations and still be off
quite a bit of EV.
Calculating cash back is a known constant. The EV of cash back is always right
on the button because it is tied to coin-in on a machine.
I wrote the following letter to Jim Wolf. If anyone else sees this a having
value, you might consider sending him an e-mail, or sending it to the Frugal VP
group list.
<<<< Thanks, Jim. The reason I see this as being valuable is because of this.
If I use FrugalVP to run million hand simulations, it amazed me that it was
still quite easy to be a full percent (1%) off of the real EV! This got me to
thinking, which game would be more valuable, a 9/7 double bonus game with
double points that puts cashback at 1%, or a 9/6 JOB with .5% cash back.
(Actually the 9/7 DB game does come out ahead by a little). I think the DB game
is FAR more valuable because of the extra cash back.
I just thought it would be very valuable to able to see those numbers in the
session statistics, and even more value if they could be used with simulation
mode. While running a million hand simulations may be off a full percent of EV,
with different cash back numbers in the mix could make a significant
difference.
I hope you do consider this,
Thanks,
