Cash Bonus - The Silver

I got an offer of $250 cash + another $250 after
1250 points (that's $25,000
coin-in) on any given trip at Silver Legacy. It came
in the mail as a fancy
personalized letter and it expires April 30, 2004. I
will use it at least once,
maybe twice (if there is more than one useage of the
offer allowed, I'm checking into that.)

This means that they likely have other levels of
incentive going on now,
probably depending on your historical play levels. >
Ask your host or the promo
desk people if you didn't get a mailer (?)

By -the- way, is this considered
a "Promotion", "Bounce back cash", "Cash
back" , __ ? I call it great, but wondering what
vpFree-ers commonly refer to
it as....

I would consider this bounce back cash. After playing
there, you were invited to come back (bounce back) to
get a cash reward from the casino.

From the vpFREE FAQ:
34. What is Bounce Back Cash? - A coupon that many
casinos mail out (usually monthly) to their better
patrons, which can be redeemed for cash on designated
dates. BBC is often determined by one's level of play
over a specified qualifying period.

THANKS for categorizing it for me. plus:

Yes, amounts are tiered to play. I play @$10K per day and got the
$125/$125 bonus. Unless letter states otherwise, you can only use it
once per trip (per booth).

My last couple trips have been $20K per day avg, makes sense I snagged the
$250/$250.

I read the fine print... looks like one useage in the promo period: now thru
April 30, and it mentions "associated with a hotel stay." I'll use it in April, I
thought I could use it twice (like the promo at the end of last year.) I might just
be "in the neighborhood" in March.....

Actually the Cash Bonus is BOTH bounceback (show up during a time
frame and get cash) and cashback (then play so many points and get
more cash). I think there is a good chance that this promotion will
catch on at other Reno non-cashback casinos.

Incidentally, the $125/$125 I received is based on 625 points (not
1250 points), so the tiered offers appear adjusted to provide an
equal 2%. This puts a LOT of marginal pay schedules into positive
terrority.
