cash back vs free play

Received an offer from NY NY that states after I rack up some cash back from
play, I can take double the amount in free play instead on "most of your
favorite slot and VP machines". Has anyone done this and are the allowable VP
machines all terrible pay schedules?

Thankx.....K

This is similar to the Reno Hilton cashback (excepts there's is not
doubled). It really doesn't make too much difference what machines
you play on to get the cashback. You only need to put through the
amount you earned. So, if you earn $50 the difference between 98 and
100% is only $2 (theo) on the $100 doubled amount. A $48 increase.

1. Have any locals ever gotten coupons for double CB, like the ones non-locals seems to get?

2. Did any local get BB for January? We didn't and we played our usual there every month. Seems like they skip a month on an irregular schedule. We didn't get any in December, for example, with the usual monthly play.

The last time I used free slot play at NYNY (6 months ago), I recall
that you could not use it on the Pickem machines. I used it on the
$9/6 JOB in the high limit area. You do have to play 10 coins to get
full pay on those machines. I am going to NYNY this weekend with the
same offer you apparently have, and I am operating on the assumption
that things have not changed.

Need to clarify term "get the cashback". If it refers to machine on
which you play AFTER accruing the "free play", response appears to be
basically accurate. (Altho you should still play the highest-
percentage VP available, and avoid any slot machine unless you know
it's actual return percentage--which you probably don't).

But, the percentage return of the machine on which you play FOR THE
PURPOSE OF accruing the cashback is critical. Unless this is very
close to 100%, you will probably lose more playing the game than what
you will accrue in cashback/free play.

I'm a local and have never been
offered a coupon for double CB. I
did receive BB for January but not
for Feb. Sometimes it arrives a
week late but got none this
month. My play has been steady
there as well. I really don't
understand their methodology of
on again off again month by
month.
