Only a fool ever pays an ATM fee. It is doubley foolish to pay an ATM fee to gamble, ie lose money (I know some gamblers are winners but most are losers). I have never paid an ATM fee in my life. Do what I do: carry enough money on me or use your own banks ATM's. You can also use some ATM's at convince stores that don't charge an ATM fee. Make sure however that your own bank doesn't charge you for using their ATM.

I completely agree with this philosophy. But, I contend, that with awareness, one can use "freely" (i.e., without ATM charges) ATM's in LV to avoid carrying large sums of money about. My better half and I are not "whales" in our VP play, so the potential $1.6K/day from the ATM's (without fees) has always satisfied our needs. And, as I said, with the McCarron Airport Wells Fargo branch, one can deposit one's winnings on the way home and not have to carry large amounts on the plane going home.
