Cards unhold themselves upon redealing. Does it happen?

This is not necessarily correct. In previous posts on a similar subject,
I've mentioned an incident at MGM Detroit where I was dealt trip 3's, and
one of them uh-held itself just as I drew. Got the 4th three but still had
trips, of course. When the tech opened the machine, the screen did show
both the dealt hand result and the draw result. Most casinos will pay you on
an obvious mistake like that, but in my case, that butthead slot
supervisor refused to do so.

So summarizing: It can happen. Not sure how it happens.
It is not possible to prove the existence of the mis-held hand.

So you are saying that the trips were still showing as having been dealt, even though one of them undealt themselves just before the draw.

That is what I am trying to ascertain. Say I am dealt the 4h, 5h, 6h, 7h, and 8h. Then the redeal key is pressed and the 6h is unheld and a Kd pops in there after the redeal. Will the recall screen then show the 6h or the Kd? I was hoping the 6h, but was led to believe that the Kd would show as part of the orginal deal. And wold it show as held in the orginal deal screen and would it show the 6h or the Kd as the hold? It sure is hard to describe this, but know what I saw, and I wish I would have stopped and had them call up the screen.

It will show both. Ten cards appear, the 5 before the draw and the 5
after. The 6h will show as not being held. From what I've seen and
heard, the player would be very likely to get paid for the straight
flush.

Scott could you please email me at

I have a favor to ask
