Cards not changing

You know, my first response to you was insufficient.

I've posted here for years when someone shows they do not understand how the
machines work. Some people have shown their appreciation for knowledge.

You assume that because I don't confirm your ignorance that I cannot be "an
expert, someone inside the industry". You represent the worst trends in
America. If you want to not let facts get in the way of your prejudices and
preconceptions you are free to show everyone just how big a fool you are.
But don't insult me in the process.

Administrator, you don't need to put me on restrictions, I have no intention
to post here again.

Bill

From what I understand, a VP machine deals 10 cards when you press the Deal
button. If you discard 1, the 6th is displayed. If 2 are discarded, the 6th
and 7th cards are displayed, and so on.

Might be a good question for an expert in the field, someone inside the
industry.

I'm not sure if they'll let me, but the next time this happens, I'll call

a

slot-tech over, have him run the hand back to verify it is the same card

and

I'll take a picture of the hands (If he'll let me)
As it was explained to me, the machine assigns numbers to each card (1-52)
and is in a continuous cycle of those numbers. When you push the deal

button

it instantly displays 5 cards (numbers). Same thing happens when you push
draw, except the cards you discard are put back into the mix. I always

play

on the SLOW setting, so this could be part of the problem, is it gives the
machine an extra second to put the card back into the pile, rather than a
nano-second of flashing a different card.

Bill,

Please reconsider your decision not to post.

Your participation, given your obvious level of knowledge, is appreciated. I
have learned a lot from you and consider you one of the true video poker
experts.

Bill : I just read the entire post and I can't figure out why you took his statement as a personal insult. Maybe I am just too Naive to not recognize an insult. It seems to me that he is just looking for what he believes to be an expert to confirm what is happening. The fact that he is incorrect should not warrant the response that was sent.

I have a lot of respect for your opinions, but I certainly can live without them if you choose to quit posting.

Regards

A.P.

I think probably the insult was not what, or how, he wrote, but that he wrote at all.

Bill Coleman has taken the time to explain the workings of video poker machines scores, if not hundreds, of times.

I can certainly understand his irritation at being told by a relatively new poster, who hasn't taken the trouble to research this often discussed (in this forum) topic: "What the hell do you know? We need an expert here."
